The Brick City Promoters (BCP), is the grateful recipient of a $25,000 no-interest loan from the Hebron Community Economic Development Corporation (HCEDC). The funds will help the Promoters move forward with their first project to keep the hometown restaurant open and in a stable facility for a restaurant owner to thrive.
The EDC's mission is to aid, assist, encourage, and promote the development and expansion of businesses in Hebron. The Brick City Promoter's project to renovate a new space for the Brick City Cafe to move into was a perfect fit for the Hebron EDC. Board members Chester Brandt, Lester Mutchelknaus, Allen Sayler, Kris Staiger, Kathy Sardelli, and Curtis Hartmann all agreed that the BCP's project was aligned with their goal to build a vibrant and prosperous future for current and future generations.
"The generosity of the Hebron EDC with our shared vision to invest in building a better community is a welcome boost to this project. Our hope is to build on this financial momentum to help get this project across the finish line", shared Mark Draeb, BCP president.
With the help of many volunteers, construction and restoration work at 711 Main continues. The dining room HVAC is complete and electrical work will begin in early August followed by the installation of the furnace. As funds continue to become available, the work to finish the dining room, kitchen, and remaining spaces and setting the kitchen equipment can be expedited.
Donations and shareholder investments are being accepted by Brick City Promoters at PO Box 191, Hebron, ND or on-line at GoFundMe.com.
